First Day of Spring {our farm-style}

It always impresses me how much the landscape changes around here from season to season.  Since today is the first day of Spring, I thought I'd take a few shots of our little farm-in-the-city in the hopes of continuing the photo documentation through the Fall and harvest season.

This is the exciting time of the gardening season - full of hopes, dreams and overflowing bushel baskets.
No thoughts of giant hail, washout rains, extreme heat and wind, or squash bugs.
Reality will set in by June, I'm sure.

  1. Happy spring! Yayyyyy spring. I would call your pictures just about the essence of springtime ... for some reason I really like the one of Ryland's plum tree. I didn't actually know he had a plum tree of his own :)

  2. Mmm...what lovely flower pictures! (Aren't flowers fun to photograph?) Our cilantro is also doing well, but we don't have any peach buds yet. This rain has been lovley for the grass, hasn't it? I started following your blog recently, and love it. :)

  4. I love your flower pictures, Hollie! You'd love to be down here for bluebonnet season (right now through the end of April). They carpet the sides of the roads and are just gorgeous!
